I was definitely intrigued.
And I was blown away by this super simple chocolate fudge recipe! All of these years I have been making chocolate fudge on the stove with a whole list of ingredients. This is your effortless two-ingredient Chocolate Fudge recipe.
Why you will love this Quick Fudge Recipe:
This simple recipe requires only chocolate and sweetened condensed milk, and the magic happens in the microwave.
Tis the season to indulge in sweet treats, and what better way to spread joy than with a batch of easy and creamy two-ingredient chocolate fudge?
Easy Chocolate Fudge Ingredients:
This microwave fudge recipe calls for only two ingredients — chocolate and sweetened condensed milk. You can always use half semi-sweet chocolate and half milk chocolate chips.
- Chocolate: I would suggest using good-quality chocolate. If I am using chocolate chips, I use Guittard or Ghirardelli. You can also use high-quality chocolate bars.
- Sweetened Condensed Milk: this sweet and creamy canned sweetened condensed milk helps to give the fudge a smooth texture.
- Mix-ins: This easy microwave fudge is so simple and is a perfect canvas to add many mix-ins to it. See below for a list of mix-in ideas.
- Sea Salt Flakes: (optional) I like to sprinkle with Maldon’s sea salt flakes which helps to cut the sweetness.
What mix-ins to add to homemade fudge:
It is so easy to customize this easy fudge recipe…just add in some mix-ins!
Rocky Road Fudge: Add 1 cup of mini marshmallows and 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
Chocolate Nut: Add 3/4 cup of chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans.
Peppermint Fudge: Add 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract plus 1/2 to 3/4 cup crushed candy canes.
Toffee Fudge: Add 1 cup of Heath Bar toffee bits.
How to make Quick and Easy Chocolate Fudge:
- Place the chocolate and sweetened condensed milk in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Place in the microwave and cook in short 30-second intervals, stirring after each cooking interval. It should take about 2 minutes for it to melt. Be careful not to overcook! If there are still lumps, continue to cook until it is smooth.
- This chocolate fudge sets fast so pour into a parchment paper-lined pan, spreading it evenly. If using, sprinkle with sea salt flakes. Cover and allow it to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes and then transfer to the refrigerator to continue to set up.
- When ready to cut into squares, use a sharp knife. You may dip the knife in a glass of hot water to make it slide easier through the fudge.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature. This fudge doesn’t need to be refrigerated.
Tips for making easy homemade fudge:
This easy two-ingredient fudge recipe calls for only chocolate and sweetened condensed milk. Here are some tips for making the perfect fudge…
- Use High-Quality Chocolate: Start with good-quality chocolate for the best flavor and texture. Whether you prefer dark, milk, or semi-sweet, choose a brand you enjoy eating on its own.
- Microwave in Short Intervals: Microwave the chocolate and condensed milk mixture in short intervals, such as 30 seconds, to avoid overheating. Stir the mixture after each interval to distribute the heat evenly.
- Watch for Overheating: Be cautious not to overheat the chocolate. Overheating can cause the chocolate to seize or become grainy.
- Check for Smooth Texture: After each microwaving interval, check the texture of the mixture. It should be smooth and well-incorporated. If there are lumps, continue microwaving and stirring in shorter intervals.
- Allow for Setting Time: Once the fudge mixture is ready, allow it to cool at room temperature for a while before transferring it to the refrigerator. This helps it set properly and results in a firmer texture.
Does fudge have to be refrigerated?
No! This quick chocolate fudge recipe can be kept at room temperature in an airtight container.
Can you freeze fudge?
Yes! I would suggest placing it in a large Ziploc gallon-sized bag and it can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Nutrition
Nutrition information is automatically calculated, so should only be used as an approximation.
Would 2 1/3 cups not be more than 14 Oz? 2 cups would be 16 Oz and another third would be btwn 2 and 3 ounces. What am I missing here?
Hi Rhonda! It is confusing because chocolate chips are different and 6 ounces = 1 cup (instead of 8 ounces = 1 cup). If you notice, most bags of chocolate chips are 12 ounces. So that’s how the 14 ounces is computed. I hope that helps! ๐
Easy to make and tastes sinful !!
