This No Bake Chocolate Cream Pie is made with a buttery Oreo crust holding a luscious chocolate ganache filling topped with sweetened whipped cream. Made with just a handful of ingredients, it’s creamy, chocolatey, and totally foolproof. An easy Chocolate Cream Pie recipe!

This may be the easiest chocolate cream pie recipe! It looks super gourmet and fancy but it is made with only a few ingredients and is super simple. This dessert is made for both beginners and chocolate lovers. Because there’s no baking, it’s nearly foolproof.
This chocolate dessert looks impressive, tastes decadent, and best of all — it requires no time in the oven. It starts with a buttery, chocolate Oreo crust and is filled with a smooth, silky chocolate filling made with only two ingredients — rich chocolate and heavy cream. The chocolate filling is almost truffle-like and perfectly rich and creamy. Because there are no eggs, gelatin, or chocolate, you really get pure chocolate flavor.
Then, it is topped with a billowy layer of sweetened whipped cream. It is the perfect contrast to the chocolate beneath. Top with chocolate curls, and this no bake chocolate pie becomes a showstopping dessert!

Ingredients for Chocolate Cream Pie:
The no bake chocolate pie starts off with a chocolate ganache filling made with semi-sweet chocolate and heavy cream with a homemade Oreo crust. The chocolate filling is essentially a chocolate ganache, but used as a mousse-like filling once chilled. With just two ingredients, quality matters—especially when it comes to the chocolate.
OREO CRUST:
- Oreos
- Melted Butter: binds the crumbs together and creates a firm yet tender crust once chilled. Salted or unsalted both work…salted butter will add a sweet-salt contrast.
CHOCOLATE FILLING:
- Heavy Cream: Cream adds velvety richness and transforms melted chocolate into a ganache that thickens as it chills. Use heavy cream or heavy whipping cream
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate: Semi-sweet chocolate is best for classic chocolate cream pie lovers. Offers a traditional chocolate sweetness without overwhelming bitterness. A safe choice for serving a crowd. If you want a sweeter pie, I suggest using half milk chocolate and half semi-sweet chocolate.
SWEETENED WHIPPED CREAM:
- Heavy Cream
- Powdered Sugar: I personally like a sweeter whipped cream so you can adjust the sugar amount to your liking.

How to make an Easy No-Bake Chocolate Cream Pie:
- MAKE THE CRUST: Add the Oreos to a food processor or zip-top bag + rolling pin. Mix with melted butter until evenly coated and the Oreo is fine crumbs. Press into a 9-inch pie dish, pushing up the sides. Freeze for 15 minutes while making the filling.
- MAKE CHOCOLATE FILLING: Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until steaming (not boiling). Pour over the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Let sit 2–3 minutes.
- ASSEMBLE THE PIE: Pour into the chilled Oreo crust. Refrigerate for at least 4–6 hours, but overnight is ideal for the cleanest slice.
- The filling will firm up into a silky-smooth chocolate mousse/ganache texture.
- MAKE WHIPPED CREAM: Beat the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Spread or pipe over the set chocolate filling. Top whipped cream with chocolate curls or Oreo pieces.

I noticed all of your recipes are laden edibles with fat and calories!
Don’t you have any recipes that dong use fat ingredients? With this country having to deal with obesity, diabetes, and heart problems. I don’t get it….everyone is on all the weight loss shots—it’s pitiful!
Hi there! I definitely have a lot of recipes that are “healthier” with less fat and calories. If you look in my “healthy” category, you can find recipes with less calories. Since I am posting Thanksgiving and holiday recipes, they are generally more indulgent. If you are looking for something lighter to make on Thanksgiving, you can make my roasted sweet potatoes with cranberries and pecans (or omit the pecans). I am a huge proponent of a diet of moderation and we eat a lot of healthy food in our home but also have special desserts. Wishing you the best!
