I was mind blown by this Pecan Pie Dip. I make a lot of recipes in my test kitchen and this one blew me away. It has all of the flavors of pecan pie but without spending so much time making a homemade pie. The ooey gooey caramel pecan sauce paired with a simple whipped cream and cream cheese filling is insanely good.

I was inspired by the super talented Lady Kay on TikTok (big shout out to her!) and when I saw her pecan pie dip, I knew I had to figure out how to make my own. You are going to love this sweet dip!

Ingredients:

It is so simple to make this easy Pecan Pie Dip. All you need is 8 ingredients!

  • Butter — I suggest using salted butter to offset the sweetness of the brown sugar and Karo syrup. If you use unsalted butter, add 1/4 teaspoon salt.
  • Brown Sugar — use packed light brown sugar.
  • Light Karo Syrup — this helps to make the perfect caramel pecan sauce. Use light Karo syrup also known as corn syrup.
  • Pecans — I prefer using whole pecans but you can use chopped pecans to have more pecans in every bite.
  • Vanilla Extract — use high-quality vanilla extract to make the caramel pecan sauce.
  • Cream Cheese — use softened, room temperature cream cheese for the optional whipping.
  • Heavy Cream — this can be whipped and then lightly folded in to the cream cheese mixture.
  • Powdered Sugar — this adds sweetness to the cream cheese filling. If you like it to be sweeter, add 2 Tablespoons more.

How to make Cream Cheese Pecan Pie Dip:

  • Add the softened cream cheese to a mixing bowl. Whip for 3-4 minutes or until light and fluffy. Scrape the sides and the bottom of the bowl twice to ensure there aren’t any clumps. Add in powdered sugar and whip for 1 minute longer.
  • In a bowl, whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks. Carefully fold into the cream cheese mixture. Cover and place in the refrigerator to chill for 1-2 hours.

  • Set aside to come to room temperature, about 15-20 minutes. The caramel pecan sauce will stiffen as it cools.

Just brought this to a holiday party and it was such a big hit. Very easy to make and serves a lot of people for an appetizer. Used granny smith apples, graham crackers, cinnamon mini cookies and baguette. Great recipe

I honestly have no words!!! I can’t describe how good this dip is! I used it for pie on TG….but the next day I dipped APPLES! Absolutely amazing. I had to have my husband hide it so I wouldn’t eat the entire pan! Ha

    1. Hi! Just cover and place in the refrigerator. I do suggest using plastic wrap rather than foil since the foil sticks to the caramel. If you only have foil, just lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray to keep it from sticking to the caramel. I hope that helps!
